I am a Nurse, a Case Manager, and a Baker. I love to cook and bake. I love to spend time in my kitchen. As a child, I watched my Mother and  Grandmother in their kitchens, cooking and baking for special occasions. I have some of my Grandmother's recipes, in which, I will always cherish.

 

I found the new love and passion to bake and decorate cakes in early 2020, during the pandemic. It started as a hobby and then unexpectedly turned into a business. I took a few cake decorating classes in November of 2020. I had one recipe (Red Velvet Cake) that became a big hit. The demand for that cake pushed me into wanting to learn and do more as a baker. On January 11, 2021, I officially register my business name with the State of Florida and started Couture Cakes by Kenya, a home-based bakery. In July of 2022, I decided to go a step further and obtain an LLC. I look forward to growing and expanding my business to bring my customers creative cake ideas and products to add to their special occasion.
